  • Production Manager

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

    Directs single-site manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors.  Ensures positive growth in customer and employee satisfaction thru high quality and on-time manufacturing, in a safe manner, of products while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.  Manages all activities, both value added and nonvalue added, required to bring products from a raw material state into a completed state, ready for delivery into the hands of the customer.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Manage policy compliance in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, visual controls and plant performance measures.  Provide leadership for production employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.  Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.  Determine operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies.  Manage the Machine shop, CNC Programming and Electrical Assembly Area Supervisors and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day to day basis.  Develops and maintains performance metrics and manages production schedules. Will be responsible for commissioning of new equipment and managing maintenance and repairs of existing equipment. Will manage the tool room personnel and control and ordering of tooling.  Will manage the facility maintenance personnel, Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. This position is a member of Senior staff and reports to the VP of Operations.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Understanding of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.  Understanding of quality control with a background in AS9100 requirements.  Understanding manufacturing processes and MRP systems; experience with JobBoss preferred.  Must be computer literate and able to effectively use Microsoft Office Business Suites.  Demonstrated an ability to lead people and get results through others.  Must have general knowledge of OSHA, EPA.  Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.  Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blue prints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.  Ability to understand NC Programming methods, manufacturing methods and tooling methods desired.  Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s degree required.  Any combination of graduate education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.  Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Cultivate, develop, and manage a sales force that is pro-active, driven, and highly engaged in achieving successful execution of our strategic and tactical sales plan.
    • Responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization.
    • Accountable for leading the sales operations and sales support teams including planning, coaching, recruiting, selection, development and mentoring.
    • Lead and engage in prospecting for new Omni Aerospace customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer base, qualify new leads as well as cold calling to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales.
    • Generate proposals, prepare sales quotations, plan customer meetings, and demonstrate product capabilities.
    • This position ensures the sales force successfully manages the appropriate channel of sale and
      relationships with the customers and end-users.
    • Ensures effective utilization of CRM tools and lead go-forward enhancements.
    • The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the sales force is maintaining established business and identifying new market opportunities.
    • Establish a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales skills as necessary.
    • Conducts initial screening and evaluation of the potential business case and pursues
      course of action to secure the opportunity.
    • Maintains highest level of knowledge possible of Company products, applications,
      services and policies
    • Ensures sales growth consistent with the Company’s annual operational and strategic plans.
    • Becomes the knowledge source for key market influencers involved in the design,
    • development, and production/commercial-scale processing of materials.
    • Continually refine & update technical knowledge base in order to understand customer’s technical requirements and applicability to Omni business.
    • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of core competencies and applicable
      technologies in order to “sell capabilities”.
    • Acquires an aptitude for identifying decision makers & transcending gate keepers.
    • Maintains customer data and interactions in ERP system in order to facilitate data
      driven business intelligence.
    • Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to guide the organization to achieve target sales objectives.
    • Develop & deliver technical sales presentations that align Omni capabilities with
      customer needs.
    • Assess market competition and communicate relevant information as needed.
    • Responsible for meeting annual and quarterly revenue targets. Demonstrate progress to this goal through accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasting by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume.

    Qualifications:

     Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as, Marketing, Business, Engineering or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university, or a field relevant for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description

    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
    • Experience developing and managing a sales team
    • Minimum 5 years in the aviation industry with a minimum of 3 years aviation sales experience
    • Excellent customer service skills and a proven track record for providing exemplary customer service is a must
    • Effective negotiation skills required
    • Problem solving through analysis and best practices
    • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    Candidate must be able to do own setups, read and understand design and blueprints and be able to use precision measuring instruments. We prefer someone with five years of experience operating 5 axis CNC machines.

    Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Background Check.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of complex components and assemblies using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, indicators, surface plate, etc.
    • Ensures compliance with all associated quality procedures, control plans and quality management system requirements
    • Able to perform First Article Inspections and document on appropriate forms (FAI, AS9102, Net-Inspect, etc.)
    • Perform first piece inspections to approve manufacturing set-ups.
    • Document inspections on pre-made inspection reports.
    • Review and approve material and special process certifications.
    • Maintains quality traceability information
    • Be able to interface with various computer programs that are critical to the job function

    Qualifications:

    • Experience with PC-DMIS Romer Arm programming/operating required
    • Wenzel CMM Open-DMIS programming/operating experience preferred
    • Background in manufacturing or inspection of precision machined parts to tight tolerances.
    • Aerospace experience preferred.
    • Proficient use of basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, comparators, surface plate tools, etc.
    • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing information
    • Near Vision: Be able to see very fine imperfections / surface flaws in material
    • Must demonstrate great attention to detail
    • Basic computer knowledge.
    • Basic math skills (adding/subtracting whole numbers/fractions, decimals, etc)
    • Working conditions: must be able to lift up to 50lbs, climate controlled shop environment, able to stand for hours at a time, must be highly motivated team oriented individual, able to work with little supervision

  • QUALITY INSPECTOR – 2nd Shift

    Position available for 2nd shift Quality Inspector for an aerospace company. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Raw material, receiving, first part, and final inspections
    • Perform FAI’s in the prescribed amount of time
    • Communicate effectively with machinists and operators to maintain acceptable quality
    • Maintain all required documentation
    • Read and understand prints, drawings, sketches, and 3D models
    Qualifications:
    • Must have basic knowledge of AS9100 requirements
    • Ability to use measuring equipment
    • Ability to read, interpret, and measure GD&T
    • Ability to interpret aerospace engineering drawings and specifications
    • Must have basic computer knowledge
    • Must be familiar with Net-Inspect
    • Basic Catia knowledge is a plus
    • CMM experience preferred
    • Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Must be a demonstrated team player with a positive attitude, superior work ethic, and able to solve issues respectfully with peers and management
    • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed

    Position available for a 1st shift CNC machine operator to run small 3-axis machines.  Candidate must be able to do own setups, read and understand design and blueprints and able to use precision measuring instruments.  Must have at least two years of experience and willingness to work Overtime when needed.   Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Background Check.
